Network and security engineer

Core Responsibilities

Ensure staff is trained and developed to communicate the goals and needs of the department/company

Establish a collaborative team environment, coach and counsel staff as appropriate, provide constructive feedback on a regular basis

Lead teams through full network and telecom lifecycle including requirements gathering, technical assessments, package evaluations, technical design, development, knowledge transfer, implementation and support

Effectively monitor telecommunication usage and take timely action to ensure uptime and effectiveness of IT services

Ensure customers are receiving desired results, identify potential deficiencies, troubleshoot issues and provide solutions for improvement

Secure systems by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation

Establish and test disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.

Provide leadership, growth opportunities, supervision for team members

Assist with vendor negotiations, contracts and facilitate hardware and software purchases

Assist with SOX and PCI activities to ensure team meets all network security compliance standards

Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management in addition to on-call rotation

Provide general end user and team technical and troubleshooting training

Role Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent education)

Minimum five 5 years managing network engineering teams in a 24×7 multi-location environment

7+ years hands-on experience designing and implementing networking, voice communication devices, protocols and concepts

Excellent leadership skills and experience managing multidisciplinary, high-performance teams, developing and implementing new technology and processes; experience with Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Service Level Agreements

Retail environment experience highly desired

Certification in ITIL, CCIE, CCNP, and CISSP a plus

Role Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Network and Security 

Degree in engineering or similar

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is a must 

Experience in routing and tunneling protocols including BGP, OSPF and IPSEC 

Strong understanding of high availability protocols such as VRRP, HSRP and LACP 

Good knowledge of WAN, Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP), Switching (L2, L3), Cisco ASA, preferably also of Cisco Nexus and Wireless LAN 

Some project management experience

VAS Specialist

Core Responsibilities

Design, build, implement, operate and manage the VAS services and products. 

Design, build, implement and manage the content portal, services and programs.

Accountable for the accurate production of statistical reports and analysis that reflects the section performance and accountable for the quality, accuracy, timeliness and effectiveness of VAS systems performance reports.

Develop and communicate plans for regular and ad-hoc maintenance.

Develop processes, procedures, activities and programs for accurate recording and reporting of system maintenance, outages and downtimes.

Provide training and knowledge transfer to the company staff and support the customer services and resolving VAS related problems.

Maintain backup and data protection practises to VAS platforms.

Deploy contingency plans and ensure they are put into place and regularly reviewed/updated to mitigate risks/issues as Getesa customer base grows and the business expands.

Accountable for the Content Providers’ administration.

Ensure compliance with all applicable policies & regular requirements on Information Security

Perform product pricing, competitor analysis, strategy formulation and revenue management for the assigned portfolio

Prepare business plan inputs for future years in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders. Plan and forecast VAS revenue and subscriber targets.

Track VAS revenues, subscribers and engagement performance. Review daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly performance to ensure clear visibility for the team and the management.

Perform VAS customer segmentation and profiling. Monitor key performance KPIs for performance measurement against targets.

Introduce new VAS Services and Technical solutions as per the Getesa Roadmap in co-operation with the Marketing Product Management, O&M, IT and other units.

Deliver daily operational VAS requirement.

Ability to handle big VAS projects which include integration parts with the other department entities..

Introduce the new technology such as IOT , M2M and Digital service to the VAS services.

    IT Advisor

    Core Responsibilities 

    Manage technologies and provide administrative assistance for various systems
